Sales and Leasing Database/Research Assistant

m3property Strategists are seeking applicants for a Sales and Leasing Database/Research Assistant position suitable for a person with strong attention to detail and data collection and input skills.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside our National Director based in Sydney, our Sydney valuations teams and national research team within our interstate offices.

This position is entry level and requires an individual with attention to detail, data collection and input skills and an enthusiasm to learn and contribute to the success of the business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collection, verification of property transaction data and accurate data entry of sale and lease information into databases;
  • Research, collection and analysis of other property data/information;
  • Accurate data entry of research information required to complete market and internal reports;
  • Keeping systems up to date with market information from various sources, including media, industry reports, A-REIT annual reports and presentations, other websites; and
  • Undertaking enquiries at government departments, of owners, agents and other authorities in respect of individual properties, e.g. zoning, contamination, planning, development stage, sale and lease details, etcetera.

Competencies specific to this role include:

  • Strong attention to detail;
  • High level of accuracy in data collection and input
  • Good communication skills – telephone, email and in person;
  • A willingness to learn and follow instructions;
  • Ability to work independently or within a team;
  • High degree of self-motivation and an ability to work within timeframes; and
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word

Valuation – Assistant Valuer / Valuer Retail Sector

m3property are seeking applicants for an Assistant Valuer / Valuer position suitable for a postgraduate or Valuer with 1 –  2 years’ experience. You will join our expanding specialist National Retail Valuations team, based in our Sydney office.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside our National Director based in Sydney and our wider national retail team within our interstate offices. You will contribute to providing valuation and advice to our Institutional, Financiers and Private Clients throughout Australia.

This position requires an individual with strong numerical and analysis skills, a thorough understanding of valuation fundamentals, enthusiasm to learn and join a team who is recognised as industry leaders within their specialised field.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attend property inspections and client meetings – Including interstate travel;
  • Undertake online title and town planning searches;
  • Review and summarise lease documentation;
  • Research and analyse sales transactions;
  • Liaise with sales and leasing agents and collection of Investment Memorandum;
  • Maintain sales and rental database;
  • Undertake financial analysis and cash flow modelling;
  • Compilation of valuation reports and client presentations; and
  • Providing support to other team members in servicing client requirements as required.

Competencies specific to this role include:

  • Basic understanding of statutory and planning provisions relating to valuation;
  • Strong communication and writing skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • A willingness to learn and follow instructions;
  • Ability to work independently or within a team;
  • High degree of self-motivation and an ability to work within timeframes;
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Possess an ability to make informed decisions;
  • High customer service focus; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Valuation – postgraduate level;
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred);
  • Previous valuation or agency experience is desirable but not essential; and
  • An academic transcript that demonstrates strong results within core Valuation subjects.
