Assistant Valuer/Analyst Commercial

Primary Objectives

m3property are seeking applicants for an Assistant Valuer/Analyst position suitable for a recent graduate or university student in their final year, ideally with some prior experience in the property industry.  You will assist with research and valuations primarily in the commercial market.

You will contribute to providing expert valuations and advice to our Institutional, Financiers and Private Clients throughout Australia.

This position requires an individual with strong English, numerical and analytical skills, an understanding of valuation fundamentals and a keen willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attend property inspections and client meetings;
  • Undertake on-line title and town planning searches;
  • Review and summarise lease documentation;
  • Research and analyse sales and leasing transactions;
  • Liaise with sales and leasing agents;
  • Maintain sales and rental database;
  • Undertake financial analysis;
  • Compilation of valuation reports and client presentations; and
  • Providing support to other team members in servicing client requirements on an ad hoc basis.

Core Competencies

Competencies specific to this role include:

  • A willingness to learn and follow instructions;
  • Basic understanding of statutory and planning provisions relating to valuation;
  • Strong communication and writing skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team;
  • High degree of self-motivation and an ability to work within timeframes;
  • Ability to multi task; and
  • Possess an ability to make informed decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary valuation qualifications (or in the process of completing your final year);
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred);
  • Previous valuation or general property experience is desirable but not essential; and
  • Academic transcript that demonstrates strong results within core Valuation subjects.

Primary Objectives

m3property are seeking applicants for an Assistant Valuer/Analyst position suitable for a post graduate or Assistant Valuer with 1 – 2 years’ experience. You will join our expanding specialist National Retail Valuations team, based in our Sydney office.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside our National Director based in Sydney and our wider national retail team within our interstate offices. You will contribute to providing expert valuation and advice to our Institutional, Financiers and Private Clients throughout Australia.

This position requires an individual with strong numerical and analysis skills, a thorough understanding of valuation fundamentals, enthusiasm to learn and join a team who is recognised as industry leaders within their specialised field.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attend property inspections and client meetings – Including interstate travel;
  • Undertake on-line title and town planning searches;
  • Review and summarise lease documentation;
  • Research and analyse sales transactions;
  • Liaise with sales and leasing agents and collection of Investment Memorandums;
  • Maintain sales and rental database;
  • Undertake financial analysis and cash flow modelling;
  • Compilation of valuation reports and client presentations; and
  • Providing support to other team members in servicing client requirements as required
