Andrew is the Managing Director of m3property NSW and also manages the NSW Commercial team.  He is responsible for valuation and consulting tasks involving office assets within the Sydney CBD and metropolitan markets.  Typical assignments include valuations for commercial buildings for asset reporting, mortgage security (existing and development), rental assessments and determinations.  He also provides advice in respect of matters influencing property values including lease structuring, land tax and statutory valuation issues.

Over the course of his career, Andrew has worked across a range of asset classes including commercial, retail and industrial, undertaking valuations and advising clients on assets including CBD and metropolitan office buildings, regional, sub-regional and neighbourhood shopping centres, car parks and industrial buildings.

Andrew commenced his career in 1991 and became qualified as a valuer and admitted as an Associate of the Australian Property Institute in 1994.  Andrew commenced employment with m3property in April 2002.

Andrew Bates

Over the course of Andrew’s career he has worked across all major asset classes including commercial, industrial and retail, undertaking Rating and Taxation valuations for a variety of clients.

Prior to joining m3property, Andrew worked for two international property firms while residing in the UK, and spent more than 10 years working in Rating and Taxation. The focus of his work in the UK was advising occupiers and owners of central London offices in relation to their Rating and Taxation liabilities and assisting them with mitigation as required.

Andrew became a qualified chartered surveyor (valuation route) and admitted as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2006. Andrew was admitted as an Associate of the Australian Property Institute in early 2017. Andrew commenced employment with m3property in January 2017.

Les is the Director responsible for Litigation and Acquisition valuations. This work involves the preparation of expert reports (many retrospective) relating to compulsory acquisitions, rating and land tax appeals and litigation issues.

Ross is the Managing Director of m3property Queensland, currently overseeing the Commercial division.

Growing up in Central West Queensland, and coming from a trade background, Ross has over 25 years’ experience in the property industry. He has valuation and advisory experience in the office, retail and industrial sectors throughout Queensland; self-storage facilities throughout Australia; and specialised properties such as service stations, childcare centres, car parks, and accommodation premises throughout Queensland.

Prior to joining m3property, Ross was a major shareholder, State Managing Director and an Executive Director on the board of a listed property group. He was the founding Director of the Queensland branch of that group and took the business from a start-up to a mature business during his 10 years with the company. When the company was listed on the Stock Exchange, Ross gained experience in capital raising and corporate governance. Ross commenced employment with m3property in July 2007 and is a founding Director of the Queensland Business.

John is the Queensland Director of the Residential Development team encompassing property advisory, valuation, development management, value-adding strategies, property solutions and capital transactions.

John has spent over 30 years in valuation, acquisition, portfolio management and property development with major institutional and corporate developers such as AMP, QIC, Stockland and Triplecee Property Trust. John’s experience is Australia-wide and covers the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors.

John has also held several board Director positions (property and non-property related) with Government owned corporations and large private company entities. John commenced his career in 1983 when he became qualified as a valuer and was admitted as an Associate of the Australian Institute of Valuers (now the Australian Property Institute) in 1988.

Casey Robinson

Casey is the Research Manager for the Queensland office. While based in Queensland, she works in a senior role as part of our national Research team.

Casey’s role is twofold. Firstly, Casey is responsible for the Queensland office’s internal market commentaries and data analysis across all property and special use sectors. In this role, she also assists in the preparation of our forecasts on supply, demand, vacancy, rental growth and yields. In addition to Casey completing the internal research requirements of the Queensland office, she also prepares client research reports (m3commentary) and market updates for our significant client base and performs consultancy work and independent advisory for clients with such requirements.

Casey commenced employment with m3property in an administration role when the Queensland office opened in 2007. In 2011, Casey began working as a Research Analyst and in 2016 she was promoted to Research Manager.

Kym is Managing Director of m3property South Australia and also manages the Advisory team in the Adelaide office having joined m3property in 2012. Kym has been working as a Property Valuer since 1980 and has had extensive experience in all areas of residential, commercial, retail, industrial and investment property principally within the City of Adelaide, metropolitan area and major regional centres.

Kym commenced self-employment in July, 1988 initially undertaking residential and commercial valuations while also establishing a range of private, business and institutional clients who required specialised valuation advice through broad sectors of the property markets and was Managing Director of Egan National Valuers (SA) prior to merging with m3property in 2012.
